• Account details such as your name, mobile number, email address, and pincode.
• Your Circle profile details, including your member tag and preferred handover place or time when you choose to provide them.
• Books, listings, favourites, borrow requests, loan status, and messages added to requests or approvals.
• Support messages and technical information needed to keep the app secure and improve it.

BooksAroundYou uses this information to provide your account, show the right books and Circles, manage lending workflows, respond to support requests, improve the service, and protect against misuse.

Your phone number is not displayed to people who are merely browsing a Circle. Once a borrow request is underway, the lender and borrower may use the provided WhatsApp or phone action to coordinate the handover.

Circle members can see the information needed to share books safely within that Circle, such as your name, member tag, and your listed books. Circle admins can review member details and manage membership. We do not sell personal information.

A lender and borrower can see the handover details and request messages relevant to their book request.

You can update most profile and listing information in the app. To request help with account access, phone number changes, or deletion, use the Contact Us page. We will handle requests in line with applicable law and the practical requirements of keeping your account safe.

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no online service can promise absolute security. We may update this Policy as BooksAroundYou evolves and will post the current version here.
